Control Room Operator at Sahara Group

Accountabilities:

• Monitor terminal processes using control systems, distributed control systems (DCS), and other relevant technologies.
• Take timely corrective actions to maintain optimal operating conditions and respond to deviations from standard parameters.
• Respond to alarms promptly, diagnose issues, and implement corrective measures to prevent disruptions to operations.
• Collaborate with maintenance and other teams to troubleshoot and resolve identified operational issues.
• Adhere to and enforce safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
• Effectively communicate with field operators, maintenance personnel, and other relevant stakeholders to coordinate activities and respond to operational needs
• Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency improvements
• Collaborate with the Project and maintenance teams to implement upgrades and modifications to enhance plant performance. 
• Prepare shift reports detailing key events, issues, and actions taken during the shift.
• Other assigned responsibilities.

Requirements:

• Minimum of OND in relevant discipline
• Minimum of 2years of experience in a similar role 
• Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting control systems and DCS
• Understanding of terminal processes, instrumentation and equipment
• Familiarity with hazardous operations and emergency response
• Keen attention to details
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, especially during high-pressure situations.
