Contract IT Technician at Linx Networks Ltd

Job Description 

The Contract  IT Technician  will demonstrate an advanced knowledge and diverse skills in Networks cabling system such as fiber optics, copper and coarse cable which also include design and architecture of various platforms and will have mastery in ta least all the following WAN,LAN security IPT environment and possesses a broad knowledge of overall Linx Networks Enterprise Operations and technology.

He must also have the idea and knowledge of CCTV,  Access Control, Home Automation (very necessary) installations.

This position is base on off-site contract in Nigeria. They will work closely with Linx Networks and clients operations , project management and engineering team to ensure meeting the customers requirements. in addition, they will provide technological vision for network transformation, serve as the Technical  Team back in Linx Networks Ltd

Requirements

All the following qualification are highly preferred.

• Possess a broad and thorough technical  understanding and have experience in Network Cabling System (Fiber Optics Installation,Testing and certification. Copper cable installation practice and coarse cable installation, Testing and certifications) .
• Must have knowledge of Home Automation (very necessary)  CCTV and Door access control system. 
• Must know how to read and interpret Network Plans and Diagrams. Qualified candidate must have a strong Knowledge of Network Topology and a very good understanding of all Networks Design Plan and Diagrams

QUALIFICATIONS

• WAEC, ND(Computer Science,Computer Engineering, and Electrical Engineering/Physics and Electronics 
• A minimum of 3 years Experience in Data Cabling 
• Vendors Certification Cisco CCIE/CCNP/CCDP/CCDA 
• Possess in-depth Cisco knowledge with MPLS Network architecture and design disciplines,operational Support familiarity,previous and current intensive hands on implementation and thorough configuration knowledge and capabilities for all platform levels.
• Have a good knowledge and practice of structured cabling system(copper cable and coarse cable)
• Must have a knowledge of fiber optics installation VERY Necessary(Splicing, Termination etc)
• Must be a specialist in Network Cabling with a reputed background
• Have very strong customer interfacing background as well as superior oral and written communication skills
• Extensive technical writing skills are a requirement
• Disciplined and Oriented in Practice of and adherence to process and procedures.
