Continuous Improvement Analyst at DP World

Job Function

• To Continuous Improvement Analyst will play a pivotal role in translating all business requirements into comprehensive and scalable solutions.
• This individual will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop and implement technical solutions that meet the unique needs of stakeholders and the business.
• The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, technical expertise and a passion for delivering cutting-edge solutions.

Key Performance Areas
Solution Architecture:

• Collaborate with clients and business to understand their needs and technical requirements. Design end-to-end solutions that align with client objectives, ensuring scalability, flexibility and efficacy
• Develop detailed technical documentation outlining solution architecture, components and integration points.

Technical Expertise:

• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends
• Provide technical leadership in the evaluation and selection of technologies and tools for solution development
• Work closely with development teams to ensure the successful implementation of designed solutions

Requirements Analysis:

• Conduct in-depth analysis of business and client requirements to identify technical constraints and opportunities
• Work with stakeholders to gather, clarify and document system requirements

Cross-functional Collaboration:

• Collaborate with sales, project management and development teams to ensure seamless integration of solution design into project plans.
• Work closely with clients and internal teams to address any technical concerns and ensure alignment with project goals
• Provide technical guidance and support to project teams throughout the development lifecycle

Prototype Development:

• Create prototypes or proof-of-concept solutions to demonstrate feasibility and functionality
• Solicit feedback from stakeholders and iterate on designs to enhance the overall quality of proposed solutions
• Ensure that prototypes align with the project’s technical and business requirements

Quality Assurance:

• Collaborate with quality assurance teams to develop testing strategies and ensure the reliability of designed solutions
• Conduct thorough testing of prototypes and solutions to identify and address any technical issues Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance solution quality

Client Engagement:

• Engage with clients during solution presentations addressing technical queries and ensuring alignment with expectations
• Provide post-implementation support and address any technical issues that may arise
• Foster positive client relationships through effective communication and commitment to delivering value

Costing and financial viability:

• Work closely with line manager on developing bespoke costing solutions for DPWHL
• Feasibility studies and ROI presentations on all projects

Projects:

• Prepare, plan, lead and drive on-boarding and exiting customer/client initiatives.
• Engage with the Key Account Managers to be aware of client/customer needs and products as part of on-boarding process.
• Conduct a needs analysis for on-coming clients to understand what storing specifications are required for their stock.
• Restructure the warehouse where appropriate to cater for client/customer stock.
• Engage with the IT team to identify and implement any relevant technical and software changes to cater for new client/customer

Qualifications Required

• BSC in engineering or NQF8 related qualifications
• Six Sigma

Experience and Skills Required:

• At least five years experience in warehouse management.
• Ability to establish and maintain positive interpersonal relationships characterized by sensitivity, support, respect and constructive resolution of differences and of conflict.
• Proven experience in solution design, with strong portfolio of successful implementation Proficiency in solution design tools and methodologies
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Cost efficient solutions.
