Action Against Hunger | ACF International, a global humanitarian organization committed to ending world hunger, works to save the lives of malnourished children while providing communities with access to safe water and sustainable solutions to hunger.
Action Against Hunger is a global development and humanitarian organization that takes decisive action against the causes and effects of hunger. Operating in Nigeria since 2010, the organization is leading the fight against hunger in Northern Nigeria, working to prevent and treat severe malnutrition and achieve nutrition security through an integrated, holistic, multi-sectoral approach. The organization implements Health, Nutrition, Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), and Food Security and Livelihoods (FSL), mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS), and social protection interventions in Yobe, Borno and Sokoto states.
The ongoing humanitarian crisis in Northern Nigeria continues to impact civilians. Conflict-affected households have experienced socio-economic and human losses and struggled to build their resilience. Being displaced for many years, conflict-affected households continue to require support to improve their situation of nutrition, WASH, food security, mental health and protection situation. Action Against Hunger has been working towards bridging these existing humanitarian gaps in North-Eastern Nigeria, particularly in Borno and Yobe State (with recent expansion to Sokoto state, in Northwest) through support from multiple Humanitarian Donors, Including GAC.
