Construction Site Engineer at Workforce Group

Job Responsibilities

• Site Supervision: Oversee construction activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to address technical issues and ensure alignment on project goals.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate daily logs, drawing up work schedules, site reports, and documentation, scheduling meetings and training sessions where required and providing regular updates to the stakeholders or team.
• Resource Management: Monitor and manage materials, tools, and manpower on-site, coordinating procurement and usage as needed and negotiating with suppliers and vendors to ensure the best contracts
• Health & Safety Compliance: Implement and enforce safety protocols and regulations, conducting risk assessments and site inductions.
• Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections and quality checks to ensure construction quality standards are met, reporting issues and non-conformities.
• Technical Assistance: Interpret technical designs, drawings, and specifications; provide guidance and solutions to onsite challenges.
• Project Execution: Coordinate with subcontractors, laborers, and material suppliers to ensure efficient and timely project progression.

Requirements and skills

• HND / B.Sc Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering or Related courses.
• 5 years experience in a similar role.
• Additional certificates or licenses may be required·
• Sound knowledge of Engineering, construction, and design
• Great leadership and organizational skills.
• Superb project management skills.
• Ability to apply logical and critical thinking skills to projects.
• Great written and verbal communication skills.
• A willingness to learn.
