Job Summary

• The Construction Section Head is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising civil construction projects to ensure they are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
• The role involves managing site operations, supervising construction teams, reviewing technical drawings, and ensuring compliance with engineering standards and company procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and oversee civil construction projects from commencement to completion.
• Manage daily site operations, ensuring work is executed according to project specifications, timelines, and safety standards.
• Supervise and guide site engineers, supervisors, contractors, and other construction staff.
• Review engineering drawings and ensure accurate implementation at the project site.
• Prepare project schedules and monitor progress to ensure the timely completion of construction activities.
• Manage project budgets and monitor project costs to ensure cost efficiency and adherence to approved budgets.
• Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with quality standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Coordinate with consultants, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to resolve technical and operational issues.
• Prepare and present project progress reports to management.
• Ensure accurate site measurements, setting-out, and leveling using appropriate surveying equipment.
• Identify and mitigate potential construction risks and delays.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 8 years’ experience in civil construction projects, with proven experience in site and project management.
• Strong experience in project planning, site supervision, and construction management.
• Good knowledge of budget preparation and cost control for construction projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit will be an added advantage.
• Basic knowledge of structural analysis software such as ETABS and SAFE.
• Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Practical experience using advanced setting-out and surveying equipment, including Level Machine and Laser Level Machine.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple construction activities and meet project deadlines.
