Job Summary

• A construction manager has a deep understanding of all facets of the building process, from the initial planning and foundational work through to project completion.
• Their job is to coordinate, supervise and oversee a lot of moving pieces at once, and keep the project on track, on time, and on budget.
• Act as the intermediary between clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and regulatory body.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Planning: Oversee construction projects from start to finish, ensuring timely completion, budget adherence, and quality standards.
• Team Management: Lead and coordinate construction teams, including contractors, subcontractors, and labourers.
• Site Management: Monitor construction sites, ensuring safety protocols, quality control, and compliance with regulations.
• Budgeting and Cost Control: Manage project budgets, track expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Communication: Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
• Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks, resolving issues promptly to minimize delays.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure construction work meets quality standards, codes, and regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
• Minimum of 10 years and above experience in the Construction Industry.
• Master’s Degree will be an added advantage
• COREN Registered
• Certified PM with background in Civil Engineering/QS/Building Tech/Construction Management is an added advantage.
