Construction & Installation Engineer (Offshore Platform) at U-Connect Human Resources Consulting

JOB PURPOSE / OBJECTIVE

• Responsible for engineering support and coordination of construction, installation, integration, and commissioning activities for offshore platforms and associated facilities, ensuring safe execution and compliance with project requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and review construction procedures, installation method statements, work packs, and execution plans.
• Support offshore installation of platform structures, modules, and equipment.
• Review lifting plans, rigging arrangements, load-out procedures, and installation analyses.
• Conduct constructability reviews and identify potential execution challenges.
• Coordinate with fabrication yards, marine contractors, installation teams, and engineering disciplines.
• Resolve site technical queries, engineering deviations, and construction non-conformances.
• Support hook-up, module integration, mechanical completion, and commissioning.
• Participate in risk assessments and HSE reviews.
• Monitor construction quality and compliance with approved engineering documents.

KEY COMPETENCIES

• Minimum 8–12 years of relevant construction and installation engineering experience in the Oil & Gas industry
• Proven experience in offshore platform construction, fabrication, lifting, installation, or hook-up activities
• Knowledge of offshore construction methods, rigging, load-out, transportation, and installation planning
• Familiarity with constructability reviews, contractor management, and offshore HSE requirements
• Strong technical coordination, planning, and problem-solving skills

JOB QUALIFICATION & REQUIREMENT

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, Structural, Marine, or another relevant Engineering discipline.
• Minimum 8–12 years of relevant construction and installation engineering experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
• Proven experience in offshore platform construction, fabrication, lifting, installation, or hook-up activities.
• Knowledge of offshore construction methods, rigging, load-out, transportation, and installation planning.
• Familiarity with constructability reviews, contractor management, and offshore HSE requirements.
• Strong technical coordination, planning, and problem-solving skills.
