    Communications Manager

    Job Requirements for Communications Manager

    Applicants must reside in Abuja. 

    • Build an organizational profile and brand for the organization using innovative media tools
    • Maintain Gender Mobile’s digital platforms including website and facilitate content engagements
    • Ensure consistency with brand design and periodically review same to align with organization’s theme
    • Coordinate the implementation of Gender Mobile’s communication strategy
    • Production and Dissemination of informational materials such as newsletters, publications
    • Write articles on gender-based violence and broader development issues
    • Build and maintain relationship with media firms and platforms for promoting the organization’s work
    • Provide technical support to units across the organisation on the content release
    • Draft press releases on a need basis
    • Compile impact stories and feedback from our community of interest for dissemination
    • Design and production of annual report
    • Curate fund-raising content to galvanise public support (technical/financial)for the organisation’s work
    • Monitor, analyse and  report on campaigns using findings to inform future campaigns
    • Seek opportunities to enhance the reputation of the brand, and coordinate publicity events as required
    • Maintain records of media coverage and collate analytics and metrics  

    Job Qualifications for Communications Manager

    • Bachelor’s Degree with at least 2 years of experience. Proven experience in a non-profit organization or CSR unit will be valuable
    • Ability to apply feminist values/approach to communication as well as ways of working
    • Ability to use tools to measure the impact of communications projects and initiatives
    • Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing an effective communication strategy
    • Strong grasp of online social media tools and techniques
    • High proficient in written and verbal communication around policy and broader development issues particularly gender justice
    • Analytical and critical thinking
    • Proficiency in using media software and design packages including experience in email marketing
    • Proven social capital of media platforms and influencers
    • Excellent writing skills with the ability to target different audiences and to tailor output accordingly
    • Ability to collaborate and deliver within time and space.
