You will be tasked with overseeing the end-to-end aggregation process for agricultural commodities and developing and implementing strategies for the sourcing and aggregation of high-quality commodities from trusted suppliers.
Responsibilities
Streamline and optimize logistics operations across the entire supply chain and coordinate with shipping lines, logistics partners, and freight forwarders to ensure smooth export processes.
Negotiate terms and rates with suppliers, freight forwarders, and shipping lines, and assess their performance and services.
Acquiring commodity trader customers based in Europe, Middle East, Asia and identifying and developing financing opportunities in line with the department’s targets
Develop frameworks for specific value chains, such as Sesame, cashew, hibiscus, cocoa, ginger, etc to support business expansion.
Keep up to date with agro-commodity trends, regulations, and market conditions to ensure competitiveness and compliance with relevant laws and policies.
Requirements
HND / B.Sc in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum of five (5) years of experience working in agro commodities trading, logistics, and exportation.
Demonstrate excellent numerical, analytical, and negotiation skills.
A solid understanding of agro-commodity quality specifications and checks is an added advantage.
