    Collection Officers

    As a Collection Officer you will be responsible for managing customer accounts, ensuring timely collection of outstanding payments, and maintaining positive customer relationships. This role requires strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a customer-focused approach to handle payment-related inquiries professionally.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Debt Collection & Account Management:

    • Contact customers via phone, email, and letters to follow up on overdue payments.
    • Negotiate payment plans and settlement arrangements based on company policies.
    • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and payment commitments.

    Customer Service & Relationship Management:

    • Address customer queries regarding billing, payment options, and outstanding balances.
    • Provide excellent customer service while ensuring effective collection strategies.
    • Educate customers on payment terms and financial obligations.

    Dispute Resolution & Problem-Solving:

    • Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and disputes efficiently.
    • Work closely with internal departments to resolve customer concerns.
    • Recommend solutions for challenging collection cases.

    Compliance & Reporting:

    • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to debt collection.
    • Prepare reports on collection activities, outstanding accounts, and recovery rates.
    • Adhere to company policies and ethical guidelines when handling customer accounts.

    Qualifications & Skills:

    • Education: High school diploma required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.
    • Experience: Prior experience in customer service, collections, or call center roles is an advantage.
    • Skills:
      • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
      • Ability to handle difficult conversations with empathy and professionalism.
      • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
      • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
      • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
