Ensure availability of packaging materials for continuous packing of quality glassware from production lines and arrange transfer to the warehouse.
Liaise with Mechanical and Electrical departments for routine maintenance and repair of all equipment for efficient operations.
Ensure the proper use and maintenance of all equipment.
Train, develop and motivate subordinates for optimum performance.
Maintain good housekeeping, a safe work environment and ensure that employees comply with safety regulations.
Ensure that the quality inspectors on the lines use gauges on the lines accordingly.
Ensure that packaging of wares is carried out strictly in accordance with customers’ specifications.
Ensure employees comply with relevant Quality Management System (QMS), food safety, Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series (OHSAS) & Environmental Management System (EMS) policies and procedures
Coordinate welfare of subordinates and ensure industrial peace during working hours.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Engineering or other related fields
Minimum of 7 - 10 years’ experience in related role
Must be a good team-leader
Must have good time management skills
Ability to use Microsoft office packages -excel, word, power point
