Coffee Barista at Alpha Mead Group

Role Profile

We are currently looking to hire a Coffee Barista to prepare and serve hot and cold various types of coffee and tea. S/he will be saddled with the responsibilities of educating customers on our drinks menu, making recommendations based on their preferences, up-selling special items, and taking orders. 

Responsibilities

• Welcome staff by determining their coffee interests and needs.  
• Educate staff by presenting and explaining the coffee drink menu and responding to questions
• Prepare coffee drinks by following prescribed recipes and preparation techniques for coffee drinks, such as expresso, expresso lungo, caffe latte, and cappuccino.
• Maintain inventories by replenishing coffee bean supply; stocking coffee brewing equipment; and maintaining supplies, pastries, and cookies for the coffee bar.
• Keep equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; and calling for repairs.
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations.
• Maintain and improve the appearance of the store and coffee bar.
• Communicate customer feedback to managers and recommend new menu items

Requirements

• A high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Coffee Attendant
• Good communication skills
• Ideal candidate must be customer-centric
• Top-notch customer service skills.
• Good food preparation skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure with high customer traffic.
