Project Apollo is a Founders Factory Africa venture that democratises access to lifesaving medical devices by removing the burden of ownership.
Currently, Africa’s average per capita spend on medical equipment is just under $10, a fraction of the global average of $77. In Nigeria, it’s just $0.90. Project Apollo is built on the belief that every healthcare provider on the African continent should have access to high-quality medical devices that allow them to serve more patients, treat more conditions and deliver better outcomes - all at an affordable price. Apollo enables healthcare providers to lease medical devices that are managed by independent experts, and provides servicing and management of the device for the full span of its lifecycle. The result: more accessible, more affordable equipment for healthcare providers and better access to critical diagnostics and treatment for patients.
We are looking for a driven individual to lead Apollo, taking it from a concept to a viable, investable company. As a co-founder you will navigate market validation, product development, commercialisation, and team formation, all with the support of the incredible FFA team. Upon completion of the Build Program, you will transition into a Founding CEO role and continue to direct the growth and development of Apollo.
Project Apollo is backed by the full might of Founders Factory Africa's internal teams, supporting on product, design, growth, commercial partnerships, business development, talent, and investment. You will also benefit from a host of 'unfair advantages' in the market engineered by our relationships with corporate partners. This role offers the dual benefit of operational autonomy and relevant, tangible startup support. You receive:
There is no better, more scalable way to launch a venture than as a co-founder at Founders Factory Africa. Working on an FFA venture provides a rare opportunity for you to team up with world-class thinkers, entrepreneurs, and creators in building and launching a successful healthtech startup. This role offers the freedom and excitement of working in an early-stage startup coupled with a large organisation's financial stability and resource access. You’ll have access to a team and corporate partners invested in your success from the beginning, providing stability and the infrastructure necessary to drive massive growth.
This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to lead a game-changing startup with global growth aspirations and to help shape the future of Africa's startup ecosystem.
