Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and innovative Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and manage cloud-based solutions that support our business objectives. The ideal candidate will have expertise in cloud architecture, deployment, and maintenance, ensuring security, scalability, and cost-efficiency in our cloud environments.
Key Responsibility:
Cloud Architecture & Deployment
- Design, implement, and manage scalable, reliable, and secure cloud infrastructure.
- Automate deployment processes and improve system scalability.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and align cloud solutions with business goals.
Cloud Maintenance & Optimization
- Monitor cloud systems to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
- Identify opportunities to optimize cloud resource utilization and reduce costs.
- Ensure adherence to disaster recovery plans and data backup protocols.
Security & Compliance
- Implement robust security practices, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Proactively identify and mitigate vulnerabilities in cloud systems.
- Conduct regular audits and updates to maintain security and compliance.
Key Performance Indicator
- Achieve a cloud infrastructure uptime and availability of at least 99.99% on a monthly basis.
- Maintain a successful deployment rate of 95% or higher, measured quarterly.
- Ensure an average Mean Time to Recovery (MTTR) of less than 2 hours for cloud infrastructure issues, measured monthly.
- Ensure 100% compliance with cloud security policies for all cloud resources, measured quarterly.
- Achieve a year-over-year reduction of at least 15% in cloud costs through optimization strategies.
Education & Certification
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Azure, AWS and/or GCP Certification
Experience
3+ years of experience in cloud computing (AWS and Azure)
Technical Skills
- Cloud Computing Platforms - Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS) administration, provisioning, configuration, and performance monitoring.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC) - Azure Resource Manager (ARM), AWS CloudFormation, and scripting languages (Bash, PowerShell, Python).
- Cloud Security and Compliance - Access controls, policy governance, data protection, and backup solutions.
Cloud Architecture and Design
- Designing Highly Available Solutions - creating multi-region, scalable, and secure cloud architectures.
- Cloud Migration and Deployment - Migrating infrastructure and applications to cloud-based solutions.
DevOps and Agility
- Agile Development Methodologies - Scrum, Kanban, and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD).
- Automated Deployments - Scripting and automating infrastructure deployments using Bash, PowerShell, and Python.
Soft Skills
Effective Communication
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams and communicating technical information to customers.
Problem-Solving and Troubleshooting
- Resolving technical issues and participating in on-call rotations.
