Clerk of Work at ADKAN Services

Job Summary 

• We are seeking a diligent and experienced Clerk of Works to monitor construction activities and ensure that all works are carried out according to specifications, quality standards, and approved drawings.
• The ideal candidate must have proven hands-on site experience and will be responsible for quality control and reporting on site activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor daily construction activities to ensure compliance with drawings and specifications
• Inspect materials and workmanship to ensure quality standards are maintained
• Report any defects, deviations, or non-compliance issues to site engineers or management
• Keep accurate records of site activities, progress, and observations
• Ensure that construction works adhere to safety and regulatory standards
• Liaise with contractors, foremen, and site personnel
• Assist in verifying measurements and completed works
• Attend site meetings and provide updates when required
• Support the supervision of site operations to maintain quality assurance

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of OND, SSCE, or lower qualification in Building Technology, Civil Engineering, or related field
• 1–4years proven site experience in construction supervision or related role (mandatory)
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and workmanship standards
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Good observation and reporting skills
• Basic knowledge of health and safety practices on construction sites
• Strong attention to detail and integrity

Preferred Qualifications:

• Trade Test certification or relevant vocational training
• Experience working on residential or commercial construction projects
• Familiarity with site inspection and quality control procedures
