Civil Engineer at Obembe Construction Company

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage construction projects from start to finish, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
• Design, plan, and oversee construction of infrastructure projects, including roads, bridges, buildings, and drainage systems.
• Prepare and review project estimates, schedules, and budgets.
• Monitor site progress and ensure safety compliance.
• Provide technical support and resolve engineering issues as they arise.
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to ensure project specifications are met.
• Conduct inspections and tests to ensure quality control and adherence to engineering standards.
• Ensure compliance with Nigerian building codes, environmental regulations, and safety standards.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• COREN Certified: A valid COREN (Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria) certificate is a mandatory requirement.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering with a focus on construction projects.
• Proven experience in building, roadworks, drainage, and infrastructure projects.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent knowledge of engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Project, etc.).
• In-depth knowledge of Nigerian building codes and regulations.
• Exceptional problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure and deliver results within deadlines.
• Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
