JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Cinematographer to lead the visual storytelling of our projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong artistic vision, technical expertise in camera and lighting, and the ability to collaborate with directors, production designers, and post-production teams to achieve a compelling cinematic look.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the director to develop the visual style, tone, and mood of the project.
• Conduct script breakdowns to plan shot compositions, lighting setups, and camera movements.
• Scout locations and assess technical feasibility (lighting, power, camera angles).
• Select appropriate cameras, lenses, filters, and grip equipment.
• Prepare shot lists, storyboards, and lighting diagrams.
• Operate cameras or supervise camera crews to achieve desired framing and movement.
• Design and execute lighting setups that enhance the narrative and emotional impact.
• Ensure consistency in colour, exposure, and visual continuity across scenes.
• Troubleshoot technical challenges related to cameras, lenses, and lighting.
• Direct focus pullers, gaffers, and camera assistants to maintain high production standards.
• Work closely with content creators/team to ensure the final grade aligns with the intended visual style.
• Review edits and provide feedback on shot selection and pacing.
• Ensure technical delivery requirements (resolution, aspect ratio, colour space) are met.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor Degree in Theatre Arts, Cinematography, Movie Production or related field.
• Experience: 3 years 
• A strong portfolio/showreel demonstrating previous work.
• Membership in professional organizations (e.g., ASC, BSC) is a bonus.

Skills  

•  Proven experience as a Cinematographer in film, TV, or high-end commercials.
• Deep knowledge of digital cinema cameras (ARRI, RED, Sony Venice, Blackmagic) and film formats.
• Expertise in lighting techniques (natural, artificial, mixed) and equipment (LED, HMI, tungsten).
• Strong understanding of composition, colour theory, and visual storytelling.
• Familiarity with movement systems (drones, gimbals, Steadicam, cranes).
• Proficiency in pre- and post-production tools is a plus.
• Ability to work under tight schedules and adapt to on-set challenges.
• Strong leadership and communication skills to guide crew effectively.
