    Church Live Sound Engineer

    Job Description

    • The Sound Engineer will work with the medai team toplan, coordinateand overseethe technical, sound engineering and media activities of the organization.
    • They are responsible for planning and overseeing the efficient running of the media activities for church services, including providing supervision and guidance to other skilled engineers and members of the team.
    • They will coordinate the daily operations of their team while ensuring that company objectives and goals are met.

    Some expectations from this role are:

    • Experience serving in a church or worship setting
    • Live sound engineering of large venues
    • Fluent with both analog and digital consoles
    • Experience mixing different genres of music, including gospel
    • Supervise production of pre, live and post-productions for all services, special events etc.
    • Ensure optimal sound on recorded footage
    • Mix sound during rehearsals with worship and media team
    • Mix sound during worship services and other events as needed.
    • Direct and produce weekly videos for services and online content.
    • Advice on keeping video production equipment and processes up to date and maintaining production quality.
    • Oversee editing of footage in postproduction, including adding slides, verses, lyrics, audio and video buffers.
    • Rendering footage to upload online to archives and live stream providers
    • Manage media department
    • Supervise stage design, construction and implementation for services.
    • Coordinate team for audio, video, front of house media set up and tear down.
    • Optimize effectiveness and quality control
    • Research and propose purchasing of audio-visual needs.
    • Coordinate media campaigns with staff and teams.
    • Leads and coordinates various engineering functions and operations including quality assurance, testing, research and development of new trends and technology in the industry.
    • Maintain live stream hosting service and schedule weekly live streams for all our media pages and website.
    • Oversee quality control and moderation of comments on all platforms
    • Upload weekly services when needed.
    • Coordinate and collaborate with media team on camera and audio for live stream.
    • Advice church, staff and pastors on technology updates and maintenance
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Requirements

    • Candidates should possess a B.Sc Degree with at least 3 years relevant work experience.
