Job Description

• We need a Chinese Translator with excellent background. The candidate will assist the IT specialist and also serve as a translator.

IT Responsibilities:

• Offer daily operations and systems support to IT specialists and IT team
• Assist the IT specialist to Install and configure computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers and scanners
• Assist the IT specialist with scheduled maintenance upgrades
• Maintain records of software licenses

Translation Responsibilities:

• Reading material and researching industry-specific terminology
• Converting text and audio recordings in Chinese to English
• Converting text and audio recordings in English to Chinese
• Ensuring translated texts conveys original meaning and tone
• Translate communications between Mandarin-speaking and English-speaking parties as required.
• Serve as on-call translator for teleconferences as required.

Requirements

• HND, BA or BSc in related field
• Necessary Chinese Language Certificates
• Minimum of 2 years’ cognate experience
• Fluent in Mandarin Chinese, including colloquialisms, business vocabulary, and IT terminologies.
• Knowledge ofcomputer maintenance, server administration, installation, repair and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of computer networking, configuration, troubleshooting.
• Good interpersonal skills, should be able to interact with all staff across all level and cadre
• Creative, open to new ideas and ability to multi-task effectively
• Proven work experience as a Translator, Interpreter
• Proven work experience as an IT personnel
• Fluentin Chinese language
• Fluent in English Language
