Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced AC/Chiller Technician to join our maintenance team at Pally Food Limited. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing air conditioning and chiller systems throughout our food processing facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Installation and Maintenance: Install, maintain, and repair air conditioning and chiller systems, including compressors, condensers, and evaporators.
• Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot HVAC system issues and identify root causes of problems.
• Repair and Replacement: Repair or replace faulty HVAC components, including valves, pumps, and controls.
• Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine preventive maintenance tasks, including cleaning and lubricating HVAC equipment.
• Safety: Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations, including Lockout/Tagout procedures.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of HVAC maintenance and repairs.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other maintenance team members, production staff, and management to ensure efficient operations.
• Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize HVAC systems and processes.

Requirements:

• Qualifications: HND in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, with specialization in HVAC systems.
• Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience as an AC/Chiller Technician in a food processing or manufacturing environment.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications, such as NATE or R-410A, are an added advantage.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in HVAC system troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance, with knowledge of HVAC codes and regulations.
• Soft Skills: Excellent communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.

Working Conditions:

• Work Environment: Fast-paced food processing facility with varying temperatures and noise levels.
• Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 kg, work at heights, and stand for extended periods.
• Shift Work: May be required to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
