Job Brief

• We are looking for aChild Psychologistto join our team and provide compassionate care to children and teens suffering from a variety of disorders, such as ADHD, anxiety and depression.
• Child Psychologist responsibilities include working directly with patients to understand their needs and overseeing treatment options to ensure they receive proper care.
• Ultimately, you will work directly with adolescents and teens to help them overcome substance abuse, address mental disorders and provide the medical care needed.

Responsibilities

• Recommend rehabilitation or intervention programs to overcome addiction issues
• Provide complete documentation and records of assessments and treatments according to in-house policies
• Coordinate with other child health experts, like child protection workers, pediatricians and social workers, to facilitate and ensure the patients’ psychological development
• Organize educational programs to inform adolescents or teenagers about the repercussions of high-risk behaviors and ways to adjust to them
• Address issues such as depression, bullying, various mental health issues and learning difficulties in children by providing appropriate psychological intervention.

Requirements and skills

• Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology and a Ph.D. in clinical or child psychology with 1 - 25 years working experience.
• Proven work experience as a Child Psychologist or similar role
• Must be approachable and empathic so children will be comfortable working with you
• Knowledge of different therapeutic methods and the ability to switch between different approaches to meet each child’s needs
• Excellent communication skills, specifically the ability to communicate with children of different ages and from diverse cultural and socio-economic backgrounds.
