• As CTO, you will serve as the company’s technology leader and visionary, guiding both strategy and execution. You’ll work hand in hand with executive leadership to turn bold ideas into scalable, secure, and market-leading solutions. Key Responsibilities

Technology Leadership & Strategy:

• ⁠Develop and execute the company's technology strategy.
• ⁠Align technology goals with business objectives.
• ⁠Collaborate with senior leadership to identify technology opportunities.
• ⁠Oversee software development, infrastructure, data analytics, and cybersecurity.
• ⁠Lead technology teams, including engineering, architecture, and IT.
• ⁠Foster innovation, R&D, and emerging technology adoption.

Operations:

• ⁠Manage technology budgets and resource allocation.
• ⁠Ensure reliable, secure, and scalable technology infrastructure.
• ⁠Develop and maintain technology policies and procedures.

Innovation and Growth:

• Identify emerging technologies and trends.
• ⁠Develop partnerships with technology providers and startups.
• ⁠Drive digital transformation initiatives.

Technology Governance & Architecture:

• Establish group-wide IT governance, policies, and controls.
• Standardise enterprise architecture for efficiency and data integration.
• Set up systems for performance monitoring, change management, and escalation.

Security, Compliance & Risk Management:

• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements across jurisdictions (e.g., CBN, NITDA, GDPR).
• ⁠Collaborate with internal audit, compliance, and legal teams to assess and mitigate technology risks.
• ⁠Develop business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
• Oversee system security, fraud prevention mechanisms, and data privacy controls

Communication and Collaboration:

• Partner with Product, Risk, Operations, and Business Units to support product innovation and delivery.
• Communicate technology plans, roadmaps, and risks to executive leadership and external stakeholders.
• Evaluate and manage third-party technology vendors, platforms, and external integrations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (MBA is a plus).
• 10+ years of progressive experience in technology leadership roles, ideally as a CTO, with at least 5 years in a senior engineering or equivalent role within a software company.
• Strong expertise in software architecture, cloud infrastructure, and product development.
• Proven track record of scaling teams and systems in high-growth, international environments.
• Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire, mentor, and drive collaboration.
• Strategic thinker with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
