Chief Security Officer at Fadac Resources

Our client is a group of companies in Nigeria. Due to expansion, they need a Chief Security Officer.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute the overall security strategy aligned with the company\'s commodity export operations. 
• Advise the Executive Team on potential security risks and mitigation strategies.
• Enforce the security policy of the company on all staff, customers and visitors to the company premises to ensure law and order.
• Design and implement procedures to protect goods during storage, handling, transport, and shipping.
• Work closely with logistics, warehousing, and freight partners to ensure secure supply chain.
• Oversee security at the warehouses, offices, and export terminals.
• Implement access control systems, surveillance, and monitoring solutions.
• Prepare and disseminate security awareness information to all staff within the company to ensure their safety.
• Guarantee the availability of armed policemen for escort and armed response.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant export control laws, international security standards, and customs requirements.
• Manage security audits and certifications.
• Develop emergency response plans for incidents such as cargo theft, piracy, supply chain disruption, and cyberattacks.
• Lead investigations and liaise with law enforcement, insurers, and regulators as needed.
• Conduct security risk assessments in new and existing markets.
• Recommend and implement preventive measures to reduce operational risks.
• Carry out periodic security audit and inspection of subsidiaries.
• Build and manage an internal security team and external security vendors.
• Lead training and awareness programs for employees and contractors.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Security Management, Risk Management, Criminal Justice, International Trade, or a related field.
• Master’s Degree is an added advantage.
• Professional certifications (e.g., CPP, CISM, CISSP
• 10+ years in security leadership roles, preferably within commodity trading, export, or logistics sectors.
• Familiarity with international export regulations and supply chain security standards.
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office packages
• Knowledge of physical security systems (CCTV, alarms, access control).
• Ability to conduct risk assessments and security audits.
• Experience in incident response and crisis management.
