    Chief Security Officer

    Job Summary

    • The University is in need of a Chief Security Officer who will be responsible for the Security architecture of the Institution.

    Job Description
    The job of the Chief Security Officer shall include the following:

    • Plan and ensure execution of security arrangement as required by the University.
    • To look after all the security arrangements in the University.
    • To supervise and control the work of security personnel. To assist the University Management in maintaining law and order.
    • To Implement security related decisions/measures reached by the University for Staff, Students and members of the University Community from time to time.
    • To ensure protection of lives and properties within the University.
    • To secure the University's land mass and report all cases of encroachment to the University Management.
    • To maintain liaison with the Police and other security agencies regarding law and order and Investigation of criminal cases affecting the University.
    • To assist the University Hostel Administration in the day to day functioning, l.e. eviction of unauthorized occupants/Intruders.
    • To Investigate/arrest erring students for Interrogation and necessary action within the rules and regulations of the University and make appropriate recommendation to the University Management.
    • To assist the fire service staff in attending to fire Incidents and other calamities on the Campus.
    • Any other security related duties assigned to him/her from time to time.

    Qualifications and Experience
    Applicant must be:

    • Either a retired Police / Army / Air Force / D.S.S Officer
    • Must have attained at least the rank of Superintendent of Police or its equivalent in the Army / Air Force / D.S.S.
    • Exposure to vast training and possession of relevant experience in the intelligence or crime management will be an added advantage.

    Age Requirement:

    • The candidate must be of excellent physical and mental health and must not be above 61 years of age at the point of assumption of duty.
