Chief Security Officer (CSO) at Design Union

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos

Job Summary
The Chief Security Officer is responsible for the following:

• Overall security and protection of the company facilities, hotel premises, properties, guests and employees.
• Implementation of the company’s policies and procedures on security matters.
• Organizing the security unit to fulfil the requirements for security and conflict management.
• Provide information and advice to management on all security related matters and coordination with the facility management department on fire and emergency issues.
• Liaison and maintenance of good relationship with relevant law enforcement and security authorities.

Requisite Qualifications / Experience

• BA (Hons) or B.sc preferably from the Nigerian Defence Academy.
• Advanced Diploma in Security and Conflict Management.
• Minimum of 20 years’ experience in security and conflict management.
• Must have worked in an embassy or Multinational organisations such as NGOs, etc.

Required Skills / Attributes:

• Demonstrated ability to communicate with a wide variety of clients in a professional manner, displaying tact and diplomacy when needed.
• Expertise in Facility Security Protection and Crisis management.
• Demonstrated ability to ensure the security and safety of the facility, guests and clients.
• Ability to control situations involving difficult and stressful incidents.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure.
• Decision-making ability.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated and excellent team player.
