Job Summary

• We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Chemistry Intern to join our laboratory team.
• This internship provides practical experience in chemical analysis, laboratory operations, and quality assurance processes.
• Ideal for recent graduates, students on Industrial Training (IT), or NYSC Corps Members with a background in chemistry or related fields, the role offers hands-on exposure to real-world laboratory work in a professional and safety-compliant environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in routine laboratory analyses of samples including water, oil, fuels, chemicals, and raw materials.
• Prepare reagents, standards, and solutions according to established protocols.
• Support basic tests such as pH, titration, density, viscosity, and other wet chemistry methods.
• Learn to operate laboratory equipment such as pH meters, spectrophotometers, ovens, and balances.
• Record observations and test results accurately in lab notebooks or data systems.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, instruments, and glassware.
• Follow all laboratory safety and quality control procedures.
• Assist in maintaining inventory of chemicals and lab supplies.

Requirements

• B.Sc./HND in Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related science field.
• Currently undergoing NYSC, IT, or recently graduated.
• Basic understanding of laboratory principles and chemical safety.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
