CCTV Operator - Plant Security at African Industries Group (AIG)

Job Summary

• The CCTV Operator is responsible for monitoring and reviewing surveillance camera footage to ensure the safety and security of the plant premises, personnel, and assets.
• The role involves active observation, incident reporting, coordination with security personnel, and ensuring all surveillance systems are fully operational.

Key Responsibilities
Surveillance Monitoring:

• Monitor live CCTV footage of all plant areas (entrances, production zones, warehouses, etc.).
• Identify suspicious activity, safety violations, or unauthorized access in real-time.
• Maintain constant vigilance during duty hours with attention to detail.

Incident Reporting:

• Record and report any irregular or illegal activity immediately to the security supervisor or management.
• Maintain accurate logs of daily surveillance activities and incidents.
• Assist in investigations by providing recorded footage and detailed incident reports.

System Operation & Maintenance:

• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot CCTV and monitoring systems.
• Ensure all cameras are functional, clean, and properly positioned.
• Report any technical issues or system malfunctions to IT or maintenance staff.

Access Control Support:

• Monitor and log all vehicle and personnel entry/exit activities.
• Coordinate with gate security staff to verify IDs, passes, and visitor protocols.

Qualifications & Experience

• OND, HND, BSC
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a CCTV Operator, preferably in a plant or industrial setting.
