CCA / Visual Art Teacher at Taybuwtah International

Job Overview

• We are seeking a creative, skilled, and passionate Visual Art / Fine Art / Art and Design Teacher to lead and inspire students in the exploration of artistic expression and design thinking.
• The ideal candidate will deliver a diverse and engaging art curriculum that aligns with the British (IGCSE/A-levels) and Nigerian (WAEC/NECO) standards, encouraging students to develop both their technical abilities and their personal artistic voice.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in visual art, fine art, and design that integrate British and Nigerian curricular frameworks.
• Teach a wide range of artistic techniques including drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, mixed media, digital art, and design concepts.
• Foster an appreciation for both Nigerian and global artistic traditions and contemporary practices.
• Develop assessments aligned with IGCSE, A-level, and WAEC/NECO standards.
• Provide thoughtful, timely feedback to guide students in improving their creative processes and outcomes.
• Maintain comprehensive records of student progress, projects, and participation.
• Create a vibrant and inclusive learning environment that encourages creativity and artistic risk-taking.
• Manage art materials and supplies responsibly, ensuring safety and efficiency in their use.
• Promote a clean, organized, and inspiring studio/classroom space.

Requirements
Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Art, Visual Art, Art Education, or a related field.
• Qualified Teacher Status or Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) is desirable.
• Familiarity and experience with both British and Nigerian curricular requirements are essential.

Skills and Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in visual/fine art or design education.
• Strong technical proficiency in traditional and digital art media.
• Excellent classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to inspire and motivate students with varying artistic abilities.
