Job Summary

• We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Healthcare Cashier to join our team.
• As a Healthcare Cashier, you will be responsible for managing patient billing, payments, and financial transactions in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• You will provide excellent customer service, ensure accuracy and efficiency in financial transactions, and maintain confidentiality and compliance with healthcare regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Process patient payments, insurance claims, and billing statements accurately and efficiently.
• Manage patient accounts, including posting charges, payments, and adjustments.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients, families, and healthcare providers.
• Resolve billing issues and answer patient inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
• Maintain confidentiality and compliance with healthcare regulations, including HIPAA.
• Perform daily cash handling duties, including balancing cash drawers and reconciling discrepancies.
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve billing and payment issues.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or certification in a related field preferred.
• Previous experience in a healthcare environment.
• Basic knowledge of medical billing and insurance procedures.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with healthcare software and systems.
