JOB DETAILS

Cashier responsibilities include receiving payments and issuing receipts, providing basic financial reports (balance sheet, Tradinf, Profit and Loss Account ) and keeping track of all cash and credit transactions. To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience as a cashier, a good knowledge of how cash registers operate and/or customer service position. You should also be available to take evening and weekend shifts occasionally.

Ultimately, you’ll ensure all transactions run smoothly and will help us maximize customer satisfaction.

• Manage transactions with customers using cash registers
• Scan goods and ensure pricing is accurate
• Collect payments whether in cash or credit
• Issue receipts, refunds, change or tickets
• Greet customers when entering or leaving the store
• Track transactions on balance sheets and report any discrepancies
• Maintain clean and tidy checkout areas
• Operating scanners, scales, cash registers, and other electronics.
• Balancing the cash register and generating reports for credit and debit sales.
• Bagging or wrapping purchases to ensure safe transport.

REQUIREMENTS 

• HND Accounting/Accountancy 
• Proven experience as an Accounting role is an advantage.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Good mathematical skills.
