Assist in invasive procedures such as cardiac catheterization, angiography, and electrophysiology studies.
Set up and operate specialized equipment for diagnostic testing, ensuring accuracy and patient comfort.
Analyze and interpret test results, providing detailed reports to cardiologists and other healthcare professionals.
Collaborate with the cardiology team to ensure comprehensive and timely patient care.
Educate patients on the procedures, answering questions and addressing concerns to enhance their understanding.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and equipment logs.
Stay informed about advancements in cardiac physiology through continuous education and professional development.
Participate in quality assurance initiatives to maintain high standards of care.
Job Requirements
Minimum of 3 years experience
Bachelor's degree in healthcare-related fields, such as physiology, cardiovascular science, or a related discipline.
Postgraduate qualifications or certification in cardiac physiology.
Proficient in performing and interpreting a range of cardiac diagnostic tests, including electrocardiograms (ECGs), echocardiograms, and exercise stress tests.
Expertise in echocardiography, including the ability to use ultrasound equipment to visualize the structure and function of the heart.
Skilled in analyzing electrocardiograms (ECGs) to identify abnormalities and irregularities in heart rhythm.
Experience in administering and analyzing ambulatory Holter monitoring, which records continuous ECG over a 24-hour period or longer.
Competence in conducting and interpreting exercise stress tests to evaluate cardiac function during physical activity.
Knowledge of pacemaker and other cardiac device implantation procedures and follow-up management.
Ability to explain procedures to patients and ensure their comfort during diagnostic tests.
Involvement in clinical research and staying abreast of the latest advancements in cardiac physiology.
Effective communication skills to convey test results to patients and collaborate with other healthcare professionals.
Ability to work collaboratively with cardiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
Keen attention to detail in performing tests and analyzing results.
