Job Summary

• The Capital Market Research Associate/Analyst is responsible for conducting in-depth market research and financial analysis to support investment decision-making across equities, fixed income, and other capital market instruments.
• The role involves analyzing macroeconomic trends, industry developments, company financial performance, and market data to generate actionable investment insights and recommendations.
• The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and passionate about financial markets, with strong quantitative and research capabilities.

Key Responsibilities
Market Research & Analysis:

• Conduct fundamental and quantitative research on listed companies, industries, and sectors.
• Monitor economic indicators, monetary policies, and regulatory developments impacting capital markets.
• Analyze financial statements, earnings reports, and company disclosures to assess investment opportunities.
• Evaluate market trends and identify potential investment risks and opportunities.
• Monitor domestic and international financial markets and provide timely market updates.

Investment Research:

• Prepare equity and fixed income research reports and investment recommendations.
• Develop financial models and valuation analyses using methodologies such as:
• Discounted Cash Flow (DCF)
• Comparable Company Analysis
• Dividend Discount Model (DDM)
• Relative Valuation Metrics
• Conduct bond and fixed-income analyses, including yield curves, duration, and credit risk assessments.
• Assist in portfolio performance reviews and investment strategy development.

Reporting & Documentation:

• Produce daily, weekly, and monthly market intelligence reports.
• Prepare investment presentations and research notes for management and clients.
• Maintain research databases and ensure data accuracy and integrity.
• Present research findings and recommendations to investment committees and senior management.

Stakeholder Engagement:

• Liaise with stockbrokers, fund managers, investment banks, and other market participants.
• Participate in earnings calls, investor meetings, and industry conferences.
• Support client engagements by providing market insights and investment research.

Compliance & Risk Management:

• Ensure research activities comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Monitor portfolio and market risks and provide recommendations for mitigation.
• Stay abreast of changes in capital market regulations and industry best practices.
