Job Description

• Identify customer preferences and forecast consumer trends
• Carry out intermittent reviews of existing stores' product offerings and rate of sales.
• Evaluate supplier options according to prices, quality etc. and determine the best choices
• Carry out periodic price surveys of product lines.
• Discover and purchase new products and check the quality and popularity of those already in the store
• Negotiate terms of agreements (SLA) to achieve the best deal for the company
• Ensure the timely delivery of products and compliance with the contracts of purchase
• Monitor stock levels and make plans for buying within budget
• Create reports on sales, budgets and customer satisfaction and adjustment of strategies accordingly
• Forge and maintain trust relationships with suppliers to promote fair dealing (Vendor Management)
• Examine promotion details and resolve any pricing discrepancies if needed
• Attend events, fairs and exhibitions to remain up-to-date with the market’s trends
• Recommend new product offerings based on consumer research
• Perform consumer research to determine product demand
• Handle all customers inquiries and requests
• Prepare and present sales projections
• Interface with vendors to provide products samplings for customers
• Perform all other functions as assigned by Management.
