    Business Managers (Wine and Spirit)

    SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Provide specific qualitative and quantitative trends for both the Nigerian market place and the Nigerian consumer. In particular highlight Regional variances and differences as an input into realistic planning.
    • To do this, the Business Manager will utilize available information on the net, research information from Company x, gather information from market visits to wholesalers and retailers, and interrogate Company Reps and Managers.
    • Contribute to the development of the route to market for products and brands assigned to their care, in particular balancing the needs of Company x with market and resource realities.
    • These route to market plans must be detailed and cover the various Channels – DSS, HoReCa, Modern Trade and Key Accounts, Open Markets and Wholesale.
    • Contribute to the recruitment, training, development and mentoring of the resource required to deliver the route to market on the ground.
    • Develop detailed Distribution targets covering (by Brand and Channel): Availability, Visibility, Freshness protocol, Trade and Consumer Price.
    • Successfully execute targets developed for Distribution as described above.
    • Develop by Brand, Channel, Region, Area, Territory and Route Sales targets.
    • Execute to the assigned sales targets. Achieve market share and consumer spending share objectives as measured through third party (eg Nielsen)
    • Ensure that all targets – Distribution and Sales – are entered into Dynamics and monitor through Dynamics or other electronic interface. As much as is feasible avoid manual interventions.
    • Before the start of the calendar year, develop, in conjunction with BA, the annual plan for the category assigned to him. This includes the detailed sales marketing and distribution by Channel. Ensure that these are entered into a Cycle Plan, and execute to the Cycle Plan ensuring availability of support materials in advance of activity start up. Resource for such Trade
    • Marketing activity will be both BA ongoing (eg merchandiser) and Company x provided.
    • Based on the above develop the specific organization structure necessary and agree this with management.
    • Develop the cost required to deliver to plans and agree these internally with Management.
    • Recruit train and develop your team to deliver the plan for saharan.

    KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPIs)

    • Rate of adoption of the Galo products within assigned the country.
    • Number of outlets visited and testing conducted.
    • Effective communication i.e. Internal & External.
    • Brand’s market share within the country
    • Leadership and initiatives. Experience
    • At least 5 years with minimum of 3 years experience working in Food and Beverages company as Business Manager ; Food and beverage environment  Product Sales experience
