    Business Development Officers

    Our client, an online store for construction materials, is looking to hire a Business Development Officer who will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with potential clients, and driving the growth of the Organization Technology’s customer base. This position requires a highly motivated individual with excellent communication and negotiation skills, who is eager to contribute to the company\'s expansion through strategic partnerships and market expansion.

    Responsibilities

    Market Research & Strategy Development

    • Conduct thorough market research to identify new business opportunities and industry trends.
    • Develop and implement business development strategies to enhance the company’s market position.
    • Analyze customer requirements, competitor activities, and market dynamics to inform strategic planning.

    Client Acquisition & Relationship Building

    • Establish and maintain strong relationships with potential clients, stakeholders, and partners.
    • Generate leads through cold calling, networking, attending events, and other methods.
    • Present and pitch the Organization Technology’s services to new clients and partners effectively.
    • Conduct meetings with key decision-makers to assess their business needs and align offerings with customer requirements.

    Sales & Revenue Generation

    • Meet and exceed sales targets, contributing directly to the growth and profitability of the company.
    • Prepare proposals, negotiate contracts, and close deals in line with the company’s objectives.
    • Work closely with the marketing and sales teams to create effective promotional materials and campaigns.

    Performance & Reporting

    • Track and report progress against performance targets and KPIs.
    • Regularly review sales pipeline and follow up on business leads to ensure high conversion rates.
    • Provide regular updates to the Head of Sales and Business Development on market trends and potential business opportunities.

    Cross-Functional Collaboration

    • Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, product development, customer success) to ensure alignment in strategy and execution.
    • Work closely with the finance and legal teams to finalize contracts, terms of agreements, and pricing.

    Client Retention & Satisfaction

    • Work with the customer success team to ensure smooth onboarding for new clients.
    • Ensure that client expectations are met or exceeded, resulting in repeat business and referrals.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
    • Minimum of 2-3 years of proven experience in business development, sales, or related roles, preferably in the tech or IT sector.
    • Experience in building and nurturing client relationships.
    • Demonstrated ability to close deals and meet sales targets.

    Must have skills

    • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
    • Ability to identify business opportunities and develop strategic plans to capitalize on them.
    • Knowledge of CRM software and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
    • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
