    Business Development Officer

    Qualification Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline
    Experience    3-  6years

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    The Business Development officer will wear many hats. He will be in charge of all business development and sales efforts within the organization. He will champion all sales efforts, maintain and manage existing clients as well as increase our client base.

    He will also be in charge of digital marketing efforts towards strengthening the organization.

    Finally, he will be available for general office support including but not limited to; technical support, logistics, facility management as well as setting up of training halls.

    JOB OVERVIEW AND DUTIES

    • Business Development/ Sales/ Client Relationship Management
    • Responsible for business development and fundraising strategy including building and maintaining professional relationships with clients
    • In charge of identifying and leading the tender process on new opportunities.
    • Responsible for logistics management including sales mapping, meeting sales targets and providing logistical support.
    • Identifying and penetrating new profitable markets within Abuja and environs.

    Building and maintaining relationships with individuals, startups, NGOs, SMEs for the purpose of creating and strengthening business alliances that complement the organization’s core competencies. These include:

    • Renting of Hall spaces: Training Hall 1, 2 and Mini Conference Hall
    • HR Advisory Service: Selling our HR Advisory services to both the private and public sector.
    • Training & Development: Selling Tailor-made training & development packages to individuals, startups, NGOs, SMEs, public sector etc.
    • Negotiating and winning sales for the organization thereby contributing towards the achievement of team and departmental targets
    • Participating in sales presentations aimed at pitching for business across pre-determined locations as required in the sales/marketing scorecard.
    • Managing customer/client accounts, maintaining knowledge of key account status and following up on outstanding invoices and receivables that are due.
    • Ensuring existing and potential clients are offered professional and quality service to increase sales
    • Maintaining and developing relationships with new and existing customers in person and via telephone calls and emails.
    • Conducting after-sales assessments aimed at ascertaining accuracy, promptness of delivery and overall customer satisfaction.
    • Participating actively in the planning and implementation of the organization’s marketing initiatives e.g. annual in-house exhibitions, trade shows, conferences etc.

    Digital Marketing

    • Working hand- in-hand with the PRO, Maintain our social media presence across all digital channels; LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and Website
    • Measure and report performance of all digital marketing campaigns, and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs)
    • Identify trends and insights, and optimize spend and performance based on the insights
    • Brainstorm new and creative growth strategies using digital platforms

    Facility Management

    • Identify issues relating to repairs, maintenance and building improvement and report to management.
    • Updating and maintaining vendor contacts and call when necessary
    • Assist the security personnel to identify generator maintenance, fuel level and general equipment maintenance.
    • Perform other duties as required.
