    Business Development Manager - HMO

    Job Summary

    • The primary duties of the HMO Business Development Manager include prospect generation, customer engagement, account management, and strategic health insurance product marketing with an eye on profitability and development.
    • Together with these responsibilities, the BDM will also be responsible for customer data analysis, product identification, thorough product knowledge development, enhancing sales proposals, hitting revenue targets, creating new health insurance services, mapping and registering hospitals, renewing hospital registrations, examining service bill fees, and resolving complaints in medical/quality assurance reports.

    Job Description

    • The company's marketing strategy should focus on the Organized Private Sector and informal operators, with a target of growing business volume in Lagos.
    • The holder must be goal-oriented, committed to achieving sales targets, and lead the team in Lagos to interact with NHIA healthcare facilities.
    • Regular market intelligence activities and strategic leadership are required, along with being the first point of contact with business prospects.
    • Analyzing business developments and monitoring market trends is also crucial. Promotional activities and trade shows can be organized to market health plans or services. Contract premiums can be negotiated with potential clients.
    • Accurate daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports are also required.

    Requirements

    • The job requires a minimum of 5-7 years of marketing experience, preferably in healthcare services, and a good understanding of business concepts and risk management in health insurance, with 5-7 years of continuous exposure.
    • The person has demonstrated abilities in carrying out marketing campaigns, evaluating data, creating plans, and being adaptable and prioritizing in challenging circumstances.
    • The individual possesses the ability to provide tailored healthcare solutions to businesses and individuals, with a strong understanding of health insurance, managed care, and financing business.
    • Must be target-driven and result-oriented with track records of verifiable achievement
    • Must have good communication and negotiation skills.
    • Must be able to create and handle PowerPoint presentations excellently.
    • Must be teachable and willing to relearn and de-learn as fast as possible.
