We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development professional to join our team. The ideal candidate plays a pivotal role in driving the organization’s growth by identifying, evaluating, and pursuing new business opportunities. This includes building strategic partnerships, expanding market share, and aligning initiatives across the organization to maximize profitability and brand presence.
Responsibilities:
Client Acquisition: Identifying new clients, building relationships and creating partnerships
Client Relationships: Maintaining and building relationships with clients and partners. This includes addressing concerns, negotiating deals and ensuring client satisfaction.
Pitching: Preparing and delivering pitches and presentations to potential clients
Sales Cycle Management: Overseeing the sales cycle from prospecting to deal closure.
Market Research: Analyzing market trends and identifying new opportunities to expand business. Understanding the viability of new products and how they might perform in the real world.
Customer Service: ensuring excellent customer service through regular follow-up
Risk Management & Collaboration: Working with other departments to ensure requirements are met, also working with senior members to identify and manage risks.
Documentation: Maintaining and updating sales, marketing and business development documents
Project Management: Planning and managing projects, which includes setting goals, calculating budgets and analyzing risk.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or any business related field, MBA is an added advantage
Five years of relevant work experience in business development, sales, or strategic planning in a financial institution.
Experience working across diversified financial services (e.g., corporate lending, banking, Stockbroking, asset management) is highly desirable.
Persuasive negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software (e.g. Salesforce)
Proven experience building and maintaining strategic partnerships with exceptional ability to evaluate business opportunities and financial projections.
