    Business Development Manager

    Description

    • Are you a driven professional who thrives on building new business and driving growth?
    • Contec Global Agro is seeking a results-oriented Business Development Manager to join our dynamic team in Abuja.
    • This role is pivotal to our expansion strategy, focusing on identifying new market opportunities, forging strategic partnerships, and increasing our footprint in Nigeria's agro-industrial sector.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Market Penetration: Identify, target, and secure new clients and business opportunities within the agro-allied industry (e.g., inputs, produce, processing).
    • Strategic Partnerships: Develop and negotiate partnerships with key stakeholders, including distributors, suppliers, corporate farms, and government agencies.
    • Revenue Growth: Drive sales and achieve set targets for revenue and market share by promoting our portfolio of agro-products and services.
    • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key accounts, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.
    • Market Intelligence: Conduct thorough market research to understand trends, competitor activities, and identify new areas for business development.
    • Proposal Development: Prepare and present compelling business proposals and presentations to potential clients and partners.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Agriculture, Marketing, or a related field.
    • A minimum of 7 years of proven business development or sales experience, preferably within the Agriculture/Agro-allied sector in Nigeria.
    • A strong existing network of contacts within the Nigerian agro-sector is highly desirable.
    • Demonstrable track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
    • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
    • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
