    Business Development Agent - Network Sales

    Department: Growth & Implementation
    Reports to: Head Growth & Implementation

    Job Description

    • The Business Development - Agent Network Sales will be responsible for the growth and management of the agent distribution network in and around the Enugu Distribution Company (EEDC) region.
    • S/He will be responsible for revenue collections, optimizing the use of POS, agent prospecting, agent relationship management. They are required to work with the Growth Team for user creation, commission payment in addition to the resolution of all support required.

    Responsibilities

    • Identify and acquire new agents across the EEDC.
    • Manage and monitor sales reps, agents, merchants and marketers.
    • Drive revenue collections and growth across EEDC states.
    • Physical onboarding of new agents by training them, helping with installation set-up and providing strategic branding items.
    • Ensure optimal utilization of POS in all locations.
    • Manage recruitment, training, activation and support of agents and customers across the region.
    • Initiate and maintain relationship with the DISCO stake holders.
    • Retention of existing agents by creating strategies for follow-up and physically monitor to ensure that they remain active.
    • Deliver on revenue targets for all services/products set for each period through agent-related transactions.
    • Achieve set targets as reviewed by the management from time to time.
    • Ensuring that all abandoned sign-ups/registrations are categorized and converted to valuable customer accounts.
    • Lead and manage the region by ensuring that the appropriate structures, systems, and competencies and sales values are developed to exceed revenue targets.
    • Ensure that stakeholders’ comply with regulatory requirements and Company standards
    • Establish and maintain a beneficial relationship with stake holders.
    • Gathering feedback from merchants on a routine basis to help gain insight into needs, problems and recommendations.
    • Providing non-technical support to merchants and customers promptly and escalating other forms of support to the appropriate units
    • Manage relationship with merchants and escalate challenge for prompt resolution.
    • Generate timely reports indicating the status of all activities.
    • Management of services in assigned locations and represent the Company and management when and as needed.

    Minimum Qualification and Experience 

    • Bachelor’s Degree is Required
    • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in similar role - Required
    • Good understanding of Enugu Distribution Company (EEDC) region, consumer preferences and trends- Required
    • Excellent knowledge of MS Office – Esp. Excel - Required
    • In-depth knowledge of our products/services and agent network channel – Required
    • Excellent communication skills – verbal, non-verbal and written - Required
    • Must be able to work in a high-velocity, high performance environment.
    • Must be able to drive revenue and channel satisfaction improvement.
    • Strong leadership, planning and organizational skills.
