    Boutique Manager

    Job brief

    As a boutique manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the store.

    Effective boutique managers can lead their teams to success by providing clear expectations and delegating tasks. The employment of boutique managers is expected to grow slower than average over the next decade due to online presence; this can be proved wrong by the management.

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field
    • Certification from a recognized professional body is an added advantage
    • Highly knowledgeable of ICT
    • Knowledge in fashion style and trend will be an added advantage

    Required Skills

    • Proven experience as a retail manager or similar role
    • Excellent customer service skills
    • Excellent computer skills
    • Strong leadership, motivational, and people skills
    • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
    • Up to date with latest trends and best practices in the fashion industry
    • Solid understanding of budgeting and financial planning
    • Knowledge of visual merchandising principles
    • Creative mindset with an ability to think outside the box
    • Familiarity with fashion trends
    • Understand how website and social media channels work
    • Leadership shrewdness to achieve success by providing clear expectations, delegating tasks, and providing feedback.
    • Ability to travel to different location at a short notice.

    Responsibilities and Duties

    • Achieve and exceed sales goals by developing creative strategies and action plans
    • Analyze sales reports and identify areas of opportunity to increase productivity and profitability
    • Train, coach, and motivate team members to meet individual and store performance goals
    • Effectively communicate company policies and procedures to team members
    • Maintain visual merchandising standards in accordance with company guidelines
    • Ensure that the store is clean, organized, and well-stocked always
    • Monitor inventory levels and reorder merchandise as needed
    • Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently
    • Handle customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner
    • Assist customers in finding the perfect product for their needs
    • Stay up to date on current fashion trends and advise customers accordingly
    • Attend trade shows and fashion events to network with industry professionals and stay  abreast of new products.
    • Developing an online presence that allows prompt reach to new customers.
    • Ensure achievement of all monthly sales and service targets 
    • Develop strategies to increase number of customers.
    • Ensure compliance to the company’s procedures and policies and prepare efficient  schedule to achieve business objectives.
    • Monitor all transactions and ensure compliance to all payment procedures.
    • Ensure compliance to all Boutique in-Shop operations
    • Evaluate all payrolls and ensure optimal level of staffing to meet all peak hour  traffic for clients and administer all expenses 
    • Prepare and evaluate monthly profit and loss account.
    • Recommend staff to vacant positions to the HR officer.
    • Provide training to all employees for all product knowledge.
    • Assist staff to provide optimal services to customers and administer all shifts 
    • Participate in meetings and prepare weekly and monthly reports.
