Bini Language Teacher at Pershing Hills Elementary

Job Overview:

• We are seeking a passionate and experienced Bini Language Tutor to teach our children the traditional Bini language, native to Edo State, Nigeria. The ideal candidate will be fluent in Bini and possess excellent communication skills, particularly in engaging and motivating children.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver interactive and age-appropriate lessons in Bini language.
• Create engaging materials and activities to facilitate language learning.
• Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment.
• Assess and track students’ progress, providing feedback and support as needed.
• Communicate effectively with children to ensure understanding and retention of language concepts.
• Organize cultural activities that promote the understanding of Bini heritage and traditions.

Qualifications:

• Must be 30 years or older.
• Fluent in Bini language (speaking, reading, and writing).
• Experience in teaching or tutoring children is highly desirable.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, particularly with children.
• Patience, creativity, and a passion for teaching and cultural heritage.
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of Bini culture, traditions, and history.
• Experience in creating lesson plans and educational materials.
• Ability to incorporate technology into lessons (optional).
