    Beauty Salon Manager

    Job Description
    Inventory Management:

    • Maintain stock reports and review stock levels of all products
    • Maintain records of all procurement
    • Procurement of goods and maintenance of procurement records

    Bookkeeping, Finance, and Inventory Management:

    • Maintain sales and purchase records for products and ensure it’s accurately reflected in the systems
    • Track the payments received from clients
    • Download and review relevant reports from systems on a daily and weekly basis
    • Produce custom reports using excel
    • Keep updated records of costs and revenues (e.g. daily, monthly, and quarterly)
    • Ensure that all bookings are entered in the Salon Management system and all transactions are fully settled to the bank account
    • Cost management - helps to ensure that the salon is profitable and that targets are met.
    • Work with the MD to set revenue and costs targets

    Salon Operations Management:

    • Problem-solving when there are issues relating to facilities - be able to bring a successful resolution
    • Oversee the cleaning of the salon to ensure it is always spotless
    • Ensure that the salon equipment including chairs, mirrors, and side tables is maintained to the highest standard.
    • Arrange for regular maintenance services for all equipment
    • Opening and/or closing the salon during business hours.
    • Develop and document policies and procedures relating to salon operations
    • Oversee the delivery of online product sales
    • Reporting on salon operations and performance
    • Remaining organized and meeting deadlines.
    • Apply hygiene practices across all beauty stations.
    • Ensure all salon services meet high-quality standards.
    • Oversee compliance with health and safety standards.

    Business Development:

    • Develop and share promotional Ideas for services and products.
    • Look out for strategic opportunities to grow the business

    Team Coordinator:

    • Sourcing, recruitment, training, performance reviews, disciplining and dismissing staff members
    • Ensure that the right staff are retained
    • Ensure that the skill set of the staff is appropriate
    • Manage staff roster and annual leave plan - update for staff absence
    • Ensure that sufficient staff are available to attend to client bookings
    • Ensure that all staff comply with policies and procedures and safety regulations
    • Development of policies and SOPs related to staff activities
    • Maintain records of staff members which includes their salaries and working schedules.
    • Implement control measures to ensure that staff act correctly at all times
    • Identifying training needs for staff and scheduling training as needed
    • Lead team meetings include preparing an agenda that has been reviewed/approved by M.D
    • Leading the service delivery team, managing conflict, and ensuring the team's processes and tasks are carried out efficiently.
    • Organize events to increase staff motivation and engagement.
    • Monitoring data on productivity

    Qualifications

    • Candidates should possess a University Degree
    • Proven experience in a busy salon or spa environment as a manager is essential
    • At least 3 years of work experience.
    • Experience in customer service, finance, leadership, and logistics may be advantageous.
    • Good computer skills and the ability to use business support software.
    • Ability to produce reports in Excel and Word
    • Strong customer service, project management, and quality control skills.
    • Good resource planning skills.
    • Excellent leadership and customer service skills.
    • Knowledge and passion for the hair and beauty industry is an advantage
    • Excellent communication skills and excellent command of the English language
    • Maintain professional appearance and a positive attitude
    • Basic bookkeeping knowledge
    • Excellent organizational skills

    Other Requirements:

    • The ideal candidate should be articulate, detailed, and diligent to handle all matters relating to business development, staffing, finance, and inventory management.
    • To be successful in this role, you should be highly organised, numerate, able to manage teams, articulate, and able to deliver under pressure.
