Bartender at Cedar Grillz & Lounge

Core Purpose

• Prepare and serve cocktails, mocktails, spirits, wines, beers and soft drinks with speed, accuracy and style.
• Keep the bar clean, stocked and ready, while creating a warm, lively atmosphere that makes guests want to stay and return.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve all drinks exactly to recipe, measure, glassware and garnish standards
• Serve guests at the bar and fulfil floor orders quickly and accurately during peak periods
• Greet guests warmly, recommend drinks and pairings, and build rapport with regulars
• Set up the bar before service and close it properly after service
• Assist with stock control, pour accuracy, FIFO rotation and stock counts
• Enter all orders correctly into the POS and handle payments honestly
• Practise responsible alcohol service and maintain strict hygiene and safety standards
• Support the Head Bartender and take part in ongoing training.

Requirements

• Minimum: SSCE/WAEC/NECO with credits in English & Maths + professional bartending certificate
• Preferred: OND/HND in Hospitality or Catering
• Required: Professional Bartending/Mixology certificate and Responsible Service of Alcohol
• 2–4 years professional bartending experience in a restaurant, hotel, lounge or bar
• Solid knowledge of classic cocktails, spirits, beers and wines
• Experience with POS systems and cash handling
• Minimum age: 21.

Other Notes

• Uniform provided; high grooming and presentation standards apply
• Physically demanding (long standing hours, lifting, lively environment).

Additional Info:

• Shift-based (evenings, weekends & public holidays) position in Gwarinpa, Abuja. Reports to the Head Bartender & Wine Steward.
