Job Description

• Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to join their team as a Bar Manager. Located in the vibrant area of Iwofe in Port Harcourt, this position offers an exciting opportunity to oversee the operations of a bustling bar.

Job Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day operations of the bar, ensuring exceptional customer service and guest satisfaction.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and safety within the bar area.
• Develop and enforce policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and uphold quality standards.
• Recruit, train, and manage a skilled team of bartenders and bar staff.
• Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, creativity, and excellence.
• Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints promptly and professionally.
• Implement strategies to increase revenue, including upselling and promotional activities.
• Monitor inventory levels and manage stock ordering, rotation, and storage.
• Develop and execute marketing initiatives to attract and retain customers.
• Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for timely deliveries and quality products.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and licensing requirements.
• Implement health and safety protocols to protect customers and staff.

Qualifications / Skills

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Hospitality Management or related field preferred.
• Proven experience in bar management or supervisory role within the hospitality industry.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of beverage trends, mixology, and bar operations.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and inventory management software.
• Resides in Port Harcourt.
