Backend Engineer at Lawrence Price & Company Ltd.

Responsibilities and Duties 

• Generate recyclable code libraries 
• Implement ongoing security systems 
• Attend regular meeting with the front-end team to expose weaknesses and problems 
• Routinely inspect server code for speed optimization 
• Conceptualize and implement solutions for data storage 
• Configure usability of all front side applications 
• Maintain a stable server with zero downtime 
• Keep a backup library before any large changes to server 

Skills

• An understanding of ES6 and Modern JavaScript patterns. 
• Proficiency in Backend technologies (NodeJS preferred). 
• Proficiency with Cloud technologies (GCP and AWS). 
• Understanding and ability to implement CI/CD tools. 
• Ability to write Tests with modern Testing Frameworks.
• A very good understanding of Test-Driven Development.
• The ability to collaborate and work with a forward-moving team.
