Automation Engineer at GEA Group

The Automation Engineer typically executes the tasks of installation and commissioning of equipment, planned and unplanned maintenance and repairs, servicing of equipment as per maintenance schedules, rebuilding of equipment and upgrades & modernization of equipment.

Responsibilities / Tasks

The key responsibilities & priorities for the role:

• Deliver service execution of the highest quality.
• Be professional in their dealings and communication with the customer.
• Identify service opportunities and leads and communicate to the responsible GEA personnel.
• Be the “face” of the organization.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Define and prepare technical documentation for technical specifications and requirements of the projects
• Responsibility for the correct project execution in terms of costs, quality, timeline, and security along all the phases of the project
• Coordination, planning and technical execution of the project on development phase and commissioning phase.
• Collaboration during FAT meetings with final customers.
• Integration of new equipment and devices over new automation control systems for factories
• Electrical supervision on workshops as well as customer factories.

Your Profile / Qualifications

Profile and Requirements:

• University degree on technical specialties like Industrial Engineering and Telecommunication.
• Electrical knowledge
• Industrial instrumentation knowledge, PLCs (S7, TIA Portal, Control Logix), SCADA (WinCC, TIA Portal, Factory Talk, Intouch, System Platform), data bases, reporting, industrial network, virtualization, etc.
• Food and liquid industry knowledge.
• Teamworking capabilities
• Customer centricity
