    Auto-Electrician

    Location: Ode Remo, Ogun State

    Job Summary

    The Auto Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and components in vehicles within the automobile manufacturing facility. The role ensures all electrical installations and repairs are carried out according to technical specifications, safety standards, and company quality requirements.

    Key Responsibilities

    Electrical Installation & Maintenance

    • Install and connect vehicle electrical systems including wiring harnesses, lighting systems, batteries, alternators, starters, sensors, and control units.
    • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on vehicle electrical systems.
    • Diagnose and repair electrical faults using appropriate testing equipment and diagnostic tools.
    • Ensure proper functioning of electrical and electronic vehicle components.

    Technical Troubleshooting

    • Identify and resolve electrical malfunctions efficiently to minimize production delays.
    • Interpret electrical diagrams, wiring schematics, and technical manuals.
    • Conduct testing and inspections on completed electrical installations and repairs.

    Production & Assembly Support

    • Work closely with production and assembly teams during vehicle build processes.
    • Support installation of accessories and additional electrical components where required.
    • Assist in rework and corrective actions on defective electrical systems.

    Quality Assurance

    • Ensure all electrical work complies with company quality standards and technical specifications.
    • Maintain accurate documentation of repairs, inspections, and testing activities.
    • Report recurring electrical faults and recommend improvements.

    Health, Safety & Housekeeping

    • Comply strictly with company HSE policies and electrical safety regulations.
    • Use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) during operations.
    • Maintain cleanliness and proper handling of tools and electrical equipment.

    Requirements & Qualifications

    • Minimum of OND/Trade Test Certificate in Auto Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
    • Minimum of 3–5 years’ practical experience as an Auto Electrician in an automobile or manufacturing environment.
    • Strong knowledge of vehicle electrical and electronic systems.
    • Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical manuals.
    • Experience with diagnostic and electrical testing tools.
    • Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
