The Auto-Electrical Technician is responsible for supporting the installation, diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of electrical and electronic systems on trucks and fleet vehicles at Trucksoft.
The role ensures accurate data capture for vehicle tracking, driver behaviour, fuel monitoring, axle load insights, and overall fleet performance at Trucksoft.
Job Description
Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical and electronic systems on trucks and fleet vehicles
Support the installation and maintenance of GPS tracking devices, sensors, and other telematics equipment
Diagnose electrical faults using appropriate tools and wiring diagrams
Ensure proper functioning of vehicle electrical components related to tracking, monitoring, and safety systems
Carry out routine inspections and preventive maintenance on vehicle electrical systems
Document installation, maintenance, and repair activities in line with company procedures
Work closely with operations and fleet teams to improve vehicle performance and data accuracy
Requirements
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Automotive Electrical Technology, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Science / IT, or related field.
1–3 years relevant work experience.
Strong understanding of: GPS/GNSS technology, SIM-based GSM connectivity (2G/3G/4G/5G), IoT sensor systems (fuel sensors, temperature sensors, driver-behaviour monitoring).
Experience working on commercial vehicles or fleet operations is an advantage
